Android Lollipop coming to Android Wear
By Adeel Inam
Android Wear recently received a new update that fixed a lot of bugs and added some new features to the device but Android Wear is also waiting for the next big thing that a lot of smartphones are also waiting for, Android 5.0 along with which we are expecting addition of more features and visual changes.
The first report is out regarding the Android 5.0 on Android Wear and now we have some idea what the OS would look like or what features will it bring to Android Wear. It is expected that Android 5.0 for Android Wear will bring API for watch faces. This will help developers a lot as they won’t have to come up with standalone apps to introduce their watch faces. Google will also be adding some new stock face watches with the new update.
The new update will also bring better battery tacking and a more informative visuals of internal storage. Internal storage with more details can be useful as Android Wear has only 4GB of onboard storage and it will make it easier if users would know what files are acquiring the available data on the device. Features are not the only things that will be updated with the new update as there would also be a lot of visual changes to the device as well. There would also be some new brightness settings including Theater and Sunlight modes, where Theater mode will lower the brightness of the screen while Sunlight mode will increase the brightness of the screen.
There is more to come but for now this much is expected of the new update that is yet to come to Android Wear. This is no news on when this update will arrive to Android Wear but we will update you as soon as something comes up.
