Apple release iOS 8 update 8.0.2 to tackle issues
By Adeel Inam
Though Apple was great with the sale of both the models of their iPhone 6, same cannot be said about the satisfaction of those millions of people who paid for the iPhone 6 as it was facing a lot of problems including the bendgate issue found on couple of models of the iPhone 6 and the new iOS update issues. After Apple made their iOS 8.0.1 update available for download, users who downloaded it faced a lot of problems.
The problems that users faced were having no cellular data and non-functional Touch-ID means users could not unlock their phones. Both of these issues started right after downloading the iOS 8.0.1 update and according to Apple around 40,000 iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users were affected with this. Apple then quickly worked things around and came up with a new update version 8.0.2 that according to Apple “Fixes an issue that affected iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users who downloaded iOS 8.0.1 update, and includes improvements and bug fixes originally in iOS 8.0.1. We apologize for inconveniencing the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users who were impacted by the bug in iOS 8.0.1."
Hope these issues are fixed with the new update that users were facing though it would be wise to wait a little longer just to see if the new update does not bring any more problems rather than fixing the old ones. Apple stopped the download of iOS 8.0.1 right after an hour and asked people to wait for the new update that arrived today. People who don’t want to update to iOS 8.0.2 can also wait till everything gets fixed and can also revert back to iOS 7.1.2 by following to the tutorial provided by Apple.
This first week hasn’t been great for Apple and after fixing the issues with the new update Apple would be able to divert their attention to other problems that users are facing like the bendgate issue.
