HTC to release selfie based HTC M8 Eye
By Adeel Inam
This summer there were a lot of rumors about an HTC smartphone made especially for people who like to take selfies known as HTC Eye. According to the latest rumors HTC Eye is going to be a revamped version of the 2014 flagship smartphone the HTC M8 on which the company would replace the 4MP Duo camera with a 13MP Duo camera.
The smartphone will still get to keep all its existing camera related software but with an increased MP, the smartphone would be able to take some really good shots. HTC did an experiment with their camera back when the company first launched HTC ONE M7 by equipping it with a 4Ultrapixel camera and the idea behind it was that an Ultrapixel camera can capture more light which results in better picture quality, but people didn’t buy it and maybe that’s why HTC was not able to score high sales with their HTC ONE M7.
HTC ONE M8 overall is a pretty good looking smartphone which is made of aluminium and also comes with the latest specs and the one thing that would be missing from such a smartphone is a high end camera. Replacing the 4MP Duo camera with a 13MP Duo camera would be a great idea for those who wanted to get their hands on a HTC ONE M8 but didn't because of the camera.
HTC ONE M8 Eye might also be equipped with a bigger display at 5.2 inches instead of 5 inches on the HTC ONE M8 and will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage with SD card slot and a 2600mAh battery to power it all. The smartphone will also be running Android kitkat 4.4.4 out of the box.
What do you think about HTC ONE M8 Eye, would you get one if HTC was planning to come up with one?
