According to the recent reports Microsoft is said to be working on a new smartphone which would be the successor to the well-known smartphone known for its camera by the name Nokia Lumia 1020. The smartphone is codenamed McLaren for now but if it’s going to be a successor to the Nokia Lumia 1020 then we expect Microsoft might name it Microsoft Lumia 1030.
Nokia Lumia 1020 has a 41MP pure view camera on its back and it won’t come as a surprise if it’s reported that Microsoft is adding an even higher megapixel camera on their successor. According to the report the successor to the Nokia Lumia 1020 will be equipped with a 50MP camera this time. The camera is not going to be the only thing that Microsoft will update on the Microsoft Lumia 1030 as the smartphone is also reported to come with a bigger sensor and an upgraded 4th-gen short-pulse LED light.
It’s not necessary though that a smartphone with higher megapixel count will have the best result and companies like Apple has proved its true, but Microsoft might have something new up their sleeves, Nokia has always come up with good smartphone cameras and this one won’t be an exception. This is all the report had to offer about the upcoming Microsoft McLaren smartphone also known as Microsoft Lumia 1030, the smartphone is also expected to launch next year at Mobile World Congress 2015.
There have been other reports regarding Microsoft McLaren as well, one being that the smartphone will have Kinect-like gesture input-technology, though it was later on said to be put on hold. Microsoft is also expected to launch a lot of their branded smartphones next year though we would like to see what the company has to offer that was different from what Nokia did.
