Pearbuds – The Small, Cordless and Powerful!
Wireless ear phones are notoriously bulky and underpowered. This, according to the designers is the price you have to pay for walking around without cords trailing down your neck – or so it was before Pearbuds came around. Pear Designs has come up with an innovative way of integrating a battery, Bluetooth chip and high resolution audio into something as small as a dime.
Launched a couple of days ago over at Kickstarter, Pear Designs’ buds feature an undeniably lovable metallic finish and a staggering six-hour battery life. This versatility brings the dream of giving music or any audio to super active individuals who cannot afford to have heavy cords trailing down their neck or support bulky Bluetooth headsets to reality.
Superb audio delivery
The sound on these tiny Pearbuds is impressive. By using a set of low noise distortion transducers that are tuned to a variety of frequencies, Pear Designs set a solid hardware background for its game changing innovation. Couple this with the adept AptX audio codecs and you get something that can deliver CD quality. AptX is famed for its ability to use a proprietary bit rate modification algorithm that makes different sound frequencies more discernible.
Even though the Pearbud’s snug fit is good enough to handle the best of the noise cancellation, an additional ambient noise cancellation approach is used in creating this earphones. This means that you get more sound and quality without having to push the sound drives to the maximum.
While the noise cancellation trick reduces on the power needed to deliver high quality music perfectly, the Pearbuds would have been useless if they didn’t deal with ear bud latency problem. Cordless Bluetooth earphones tend to lag if not properly synchronized since each peace picks and processes audio on its own.
The special Lithium Ion battery is a true blessing since its versatility plays an integral role in making the Pearbuds a true asset to people every on the move. A equally innovative carry case that lets you charge both earbuds at a go not only makes the whole package convenient but also cuts down on your downtime's.
By using a customized hardware and software, Pear Designs has managed to create ultra-low latency earbuds, meaning that you will hear the same thing on both ears at all times.
The Pearbuds are now available on offer at Kickstarter. The designers hope to collect over $50,000 before they can begin bulk production of the earbuds. The first 1,000 purchases will get the Pearbuds at $99, which is 50% less the actual retail price.
