Finally A Smart Card That Actually Works!
We have been seeing many Bluetooth connected cards popping up here and there on the internet and promising to slim down your wallet.
Cards such as Swyp, Plastc, and many more have made promises but none have delivered; well literally have not delivered the product; because they are all on pre-order. Some cards like Coin have been undergoing the manufacturing process for over a year, and backers have been complaining about the long wait.
The problem that these companies are running into is getting their card to be accepted as a regular credit card by merchants. So Stratos Bluetooth Connected Card is promising to flatten down your wallet by combining all of your credit, debit, loyalty, gift, and membership cards into one that is accepted everywhere.
The card is set to start shipping by August 2015, but here is the twist for that promise Stratos will charge an annual membership fee of $95 or $145 for a two-year membership.
You might be thinking "oh man, come on I have to pay an annual fee to get this cool card?" I understand its annoying especially, since all other cards are offered for a flat cost. However, Stratos has a lot of "promises" to offer:
How Does Stratos Work?
What do you think? Are you willing to pay annual fee? Or would you rather use Plastc or Swyp for a flat fee? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
