UnoTelly's SmartDNS and Smart VPN Breaks the Geo-restrictions Chain that Service Providers Tie You With!
What is Geo-restriction
Service providers are greedy! Netflix, Hulu, Spotify, Pandora, and many other companies restrict the content of their services to a specific geographic location. This is called Geo-restriction or Geo-block. It allows the providers to control what subscribers watch and where they watch it.
So if you are from the United States, living in another country, and you still want to enjoy American media you will have to trick the system into believing you are in the States! Don't worry it is not hard to do.
How Do You Unlock Geo-restriction and Watch Netflix, Hulu, and Listen To Pandora From Anywhere In The World?
That, is a good question my friend. For the longest time people have used VPN (Virtual Private Network) to break these restrictions. VPN routes your network traffic through a private server located in the country that you specify to get access to the content you want.
In other words, if you live in Egypt and you want to use your U.S. Netflix account to watch movies, you will need to find a VPN provider online and purchase an account. You would then download a VPN client, and install it on your PC. The client software will route your internet traffic through the VPN provider server, and after a long tiring setup process, you will get access to Netflix.
But, (a big hairy but!!) a VPN can be a challenging to use, because it's costly, slow, has bandwidth limitation, it's slow, you have to install a client software on your PC, setup can be a hassle, and did I mention it's SLOW?
VPN is slow. Period. No matter how fast your actual internet connection at home, you will be restricted by the bandwidth speed assigned to you by the VPN provider.
So, to actually break the Geo-restrictions and still have a fast connection, UnoTelly has come to our rescue with its use of SmartDNS.
How does UnoTelly work?
The simple yet ingenious, use of DNS (Domain Name System) instead of VPN allows UnoTelly to route your internet traffic through their servers to bypass Geo-restrictions.
In case you are still wondering, DNS is kind of like a phone directory for webpage or domain names with the ability to translate these names into IP address so the routers, and servers understand what to do with the internet traffic, and how to route it.
Why Unotelly Smart DNS is faster, and million times better than VPN
